FSJ Family Catechism
Our Work Starts Locally, in our Faith Communities’ Domestic Churches
The parish-level tool of FSJ Family Catechism is placed to assist parish leading men, the intentional spiritual and lay faithful men who understand their vocations and are committed to bettering their families and communities.
Our Father likes order. For this resource to be effective, it is essential that men value their varying perspectives and stop talking past each other. We all hear our Father’s voice differently, and we all are situated at different parts of the faith journey. Finding value in the choir of voices our Father has given us to reach our faith community needs to be recognized and rightly ordered. Talking with each other instead of past each other is key to building up a band of brothers to lead and heal our future domestic churches.
We need to find the simple answers again, to intentionally remove the confusion of the worldly norms of family for the next generations.
Pope St. John Paul II says, “The first and fundamental structure for ‘human ecology’ is the family, in which man receives his first formative ideas about truth and goodness, and learns what it means to love and to be loved, and thus what it actually means to be a person” (Centesimus Annus, 1991).
